Certification

What is the Energy Sector?

It is an integrated industry covering the network of production, transmission, distribution and consumption from fossil fuels to renewable resources.

Energy Generation

Fossil fuels, nuclear plants and renewable power plants (wind, solar, hydroelectric). The environmental impact profile differs significantly according to the production technology.

Transmission and Distribution

Transportation of generated energy over long distances via high and low voltage lines. Reliability of infrastructure is critical for continuity of energy supply.

Renewable Energy

Wind, solar, geothermal. This field, which is growing rapidly with global policies, directly increases the demands of companies for ISO certification.

Energy Efficiency

Achieving high output with less energy. It is the most strategic tool to reduce emissions and cut costs.

Energy Consumption

Industrial production covers basic needs such as heating, lighting and transportation. Optimizing consumption patterns is decisive for environmental goals.

Technical Analysis & Solution

Why Certification is Essential?

The emission impacts of fossil fuels and the ecosystem pressures of hydroelectric dams oblige the sector to certify in three main aspects.

Environmental Adaptation

Environmental management system certification enables measuring and reporting impacts. It is indispensable for national legislation and international investors.

Energy Efficiency Management

Energy efficiency management system certification allows organizations to monitor their consumption and verify their performance in achieving their targets through independent audits.

Sustainability and Market Confidence

Documented environmental and energy management system performance is increasingly becoming a prerequisite for accessing green bonds and sustainable financing instruments.

Frequently Asked Questions

In TĂĽrkiye, the obligation to establish an energy management system for energy consumers above a certain size is regulated by legislation. ISO 50001 certification is one of the recognized ways to meet this obligation and is frequently requested by investors.

The process consists of an energy policy, energy consumption analysis, target setting, internal audit and audit by an accredited certification body (USB Certification). It can take 4-8 months depending on the level of preparation.

ISO 50001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are the most commonly requested standards for solar, wind and hydroelectric power producers. In line with investor expectations, ISO 14001 environmental certification is particularly prominent.

ISO 50001 certification is renewed in three-year cycles. A surveillance audit is carried out every year; a comprehensive renewal audit is carried out in the third year.
