TÜRKAK, as a public institution affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, governed by private law, and possessing legal personality, ensures accreditation in accordance with national and international standards.
Full Membership in Europe and Worldwide
As of 2008, TÜRKAK has achieved full membership status in the European Accreditation Association (EA) and the Global Accreditation Association (Global ACI).

It accredits the competence of testing and calibration laboratories in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
Medical Laboratories
It evaluates the quality and technical competence of medical laboratories in accordance with TS EN ISO 15189.
Proficiency Test Providers
It grants accreditation to providers of proficiency testing (PT) in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17043 standard.
Inspection Organizations
It assesses and accredits the competence of inspection bodies in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard.
Personnel Certification
It provides accreditation services to professional competence and personnel certification bodies under TS EN ISO/IEC 17024.
