BRCGS Consumer Products Standard
Quality and safety in consumer products stay in the minds of consumers longer than the shelf life of the brand. The BRCGS Consumer Products Standard (BRCGS CP) aims to ensure that non-food product groups circulate safely in the global supply chain and provide a competitive advantage on retail shelves.
What are BRCGS Consumer Products?
BRCGS Consumer Products is an internationally recognized safety and quality standard for non-food products in the categories of personal care, household chemicals, household products, textiles, toys, electronics and much more. The standard has two main categories: BRCGS Consumer Products Standard covers two product groups

Standard Structure:
Levels and Criteria
Foundation and Higher Level
Basic Level: Includes legal compliance, product safety and minimum quality controls. It is evaluated with a “pass/fail” system, no grading is done.
Advanced Level: Requires more records management, process monitoring and continuous improvement, as well as legal and critical quality controls. Results in a rating score and stands out in terms of prestige.
At both levels, the entire supply chain is under control, from product design, raw material procurement, production, packaging and distribution. Traceability, recall simulation and product label compliance are ensured as critical documentation.
