The status granted by the Ministry indicates government approval that the inspection company has the minimum conditions, such as specialized personnel and infrastructure, to provide safe measurement and analysis services to importers and exporters.

Surveillance Company Status

The Ministry of Trade is the central government agency that determines TĂĽrkiye’s foreign trade policy and regulates and supervises the export and import processes. Activities such as quality and quantity control of goods subject to foreign trade; determination of the situation during storage, loading, unloading and transportation are carried out under the supervision of the Ministry.

Importers and exporters apply to surveillance companies authorized by the Ministry to receive independent measurement and analysis services on product characteristics, quality, quantity and price. With the granting of status by the Ministry, it is officially approved by the state that the surveillance company has the minimum conditions such as specialized personnel and technical infrastructure and becomes a reliable reference in international trade.

Authorized Chapter Scope

USB Certification is authorized to provide inspection services for goods subject to foreign trade in the following grouped harmonized system chapters with the status of Type B International Inspection Company from the Ministry of Trade.

Food and Agricultural Products (02-24)

SURVEILLANCE SERVICES

Ministry Authorized Oversight Areas of Activity

Quality Control

Verification of the conformity of goods subject to foreign trade with the specified quality standards by independent measurement, analysis and surveillance methods.

Quantity Control

Determination and reporting of quantity, weight and volume measurements of the goods subject to shipment by internationally recognized methods.

Storage Surveillance

Monitoring the storage conditions of goods, unloading and reloading processes in accordance with contractual and standard requirements.

Loading and Unloading

Carrying out loading and unloading operations at ports, warehouses and border gates under supervision and reporting the situation.

Detection During Transportation

Determination of the condition of goods, temperature and hygiene conditions during transportation in road, maritime and air transportation.

Oversight Reporting

Impartial documentation of all inspection and measurement results as inspection reports in internationally recognized formats.

International Coordination of the Ministry of Trade

World Trade Organization (WTO) Compliance

As a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Ministry of Trade regulates foreign trade rules in accordance with international trade law and conducts surveillance activities within this framework.

TĂĽrkiye-EU Customs Union

Within the scope of the TĂĽrkiye-EU Customs Union, which has been in force since 1996, the Ministry supervises the compliance of goods subject to foreign trade with technical legislation and customs procedures; Type B surveillance reports are used in this process.

Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK) Coordination

In coordination with the Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK), the Ministry organizes inspection and surveillance processes for halal product exports; this structure strengthens TĂĽrkiye’s recognition in international halal trade.
